<P class=MsoNormal>Hi listers:</P>
<P class=MsoNormal> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>I want to share my early experience and see if I would have
made a mistake if I had made a different decision.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>When I bought my Apple II e, I got a disk drive with a newer
cable, not the old flat ribbon cable which I had been familiar with. This
drive had another cable connection on the back, that looked like I could have
chained another drive onto it.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>I wanted to use a 3.5” disk, so I called up an Apple dealer
in Chattanooga and asked if I could order a Unidisk 3.5” drive. The guy at
the store said I could obtain one for $369, (If I remember correctly). I
figured I could unhook the 5.25 drive and plug the 3.5 unidisk in the same
port.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>If I had bought that drive, would it have even worked at all,
given the standard cards I had in my Apple II e? Would I have wasted
almost $400?</P>
<P class=MsoNormal> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal>Thanks!<o:p></o:p></P></DIV>
