[Blindapple] The gs is talking!

Hi,
Here's another sure fire method for entering the control panel with no
speech.  This assumes the system is turned off.
Hold down the option key while you turn the system on.  You'll get the
normal startup bong, then when it's supposed to start booting it won't.
Release the option key at this time.  A menu has just popped up.  Hit the
number 1.  That puts you directly in the control panel.  From here, to set
slot 1 to "your card", do the following
Down arrow six times.
Return.
Left or right arrow, doesn't matter which.
Return.
Escape.
Return.
At this point the system will reboot.
